Price Kong’s founder, Ron Price, was passionate about giving back to the community in which he served, and that commitment remains today through firm and individual volunteerism and contributions.

PK Charities

PK Charities (PKC) is a nonprofit organization that focuses its efforts on providing resources to enrich the educational and life experiences of underserved children and adults, outside the scope of local, state, and federal funding. PKC, supported by Price Kong, host fundraising events throughout the year in support of numerous local Arizona charities, including the Osborn School District Educational Foundation, Paz De Cristo, North Phoenix Lions Club, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Family Promise of Greater Phoenix.

PKC held its 18th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Course. Thanks to Price Kong clients and business partners, the event was a huge success.

Scholarship2

Scholarships

The firm’s founder, Ron Price, was a highly regarded, long-time faculty member in the business department at Phoenix College. He established the Ronald D. Price Memorial Scholarship to help underprivileged students attending Phoenix College. The firm continues to fund the scholarship program, offering six to ten scholarships each year, depending on need. In recognition of the firm’s ongoing support, the firm was an honored recipient of Phoenix College’s Exemplary Partnership Award.

Senior partner, Tony Kong, has been a long-time supporter of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Each year, Price Kong donates $1000 scholarship to the Chinese Chamber for high school students that need financial assistance to attend college.

Osborn School District

Price Kong is a large supporter of Osborn School District, which consists of Title I schools in central Phoenix. In addition to donating a portion of funds raised at the PK Charities Golf Tournament, Price Kong has adopted Longview Elementary School in the Osborn School District. Much of Longview’s student population comes from low income families, many of which are homeless and near-homeless. At the beginning of the school year, the firm hosts an annual school supply drive to provide the tools students need to start the year off right. In November, the firm sponsors an art contest, awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, and providing $500 for the schools art teacher to use on supplies for her classroom. Price Kong then uses the winning art for their annual client Christmas cards. In December, the firm holds a gift drive for one of Longview’s classrooms.

Shred-A-Thon

Each November, Price Kong holds a Shred-A-Thon for the community. The firm offers free document shredding for individuals and businesses in exchange for nonperishable food, frozen turkeys, and monetary donations. The donations are delivered to Paz De Cristo to feed the hungry.

St. Vincent de Paul Adopt-A-Family

Price Kong participated in the St. Vincent de Paul Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program, matching staff donations dollar-for-dollar. The funds were used to purchase gifts and a grocery gift card for two families in need – a single mom with five children and a family of four.

AZCCD Event 1

Arizona Construction Career Day

In November 2019, Price Kong volunteered at the 20th Annual Arizona Construction Career Day presented by the Association for Construction Career Development (ACCD). Held at the Arizona National Guard Joint Force Headquarters near Papago Park in Phoenix, managing partner Ross Dietrich, and Senior Managers Troy Griffith and John Terry, helped prepare for, welcome, and guide nearly 3,000 students, teachers, and mentors who traveled from all over the state to attend the two day event. The largest construction career event in the state, the ACCD provided the students with hands-on construction experience and career knowledge in an engaging and fun environment.
