Scott A. Mitchem and Price Kong & Company actively support the North Phoenix Lions Club through membership and various sponsorship’s throughout the year.  The club is an active participant in our community here in Arizona.

The North Phoenix Lions Club provides eye exams and glasses for underprivileged youth from 36 local schools.

They adopt families for Christmas through their annual Santa Project. Each family receives gifts of toys/wish items and clothing for each family member, a box of fresh fruit and groceries. The club works with the City of Phoenix Human Services and other social agencies to locate families who need their help. In 2007 15 families (70 individuals) were provided assistance through the club.

In an effort  to “serve” the community, North Phoenix Lions Club partnered with Valley of the Sun Habitat and Price Kong & Company for Humanity to build a home for a blind or visually impaired person/family! The building was a complete success.

In addition, they participate with local community service agencies such as City of Phoenix Human Services, St. Mary’s Food Bank, Family Advocacy Center, Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Lions Vision Center, and Lions Camp Tatiyee.

The club also hosts The North Phoenix Lions Club Foundation. The foundations is a qualified tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501 (C)(3) of the Federal Income Tax Code.
